Andy Honda, author of the children’s book series Koa’s Ruff Life, is a NYC-based medical executive and speaker. A lifelong animal lover and storyteller at heart, Honda draws inspiration from her real-life adventures in New York City with her beloved therapy dog, Koa. Together, they make weekly visits to children with special needs, sharing comfort, companionship, and love — experiences that have become the heart of her stories.
Her latest release, Koa’s Ruff Life: Christmas Time in New York City, follows Koa and his friends as they romp through the city during the holidays, capturing the magic, humor, and heartwarming surprises of the season.
Originally from Hawaii, Honda brings to her work a spirit of warmth, curiosity, and aloha that shines through every page.
