About the Author
Alden Jones is a faculty member at Emerson College’s department of Writing, Literature and Publishing. Her memoir, The Blind Masseuse: A Traveler’s Memoir from Costa Rica to Cambodia (University of Wisconsin Press, 2013) was named a “Top Ten” Travel Book by Publisher’s Weekly and won a 2014 Gold Award from Independent Publisher. Her short story collection, Unaccompanied Minors (New American Press, 2014), received the New American Fiction Prize. Jones’ short stories and essays have appeared in numerous publications including The Iowa Review, Prairie Schooner and The Best American Travel Writing.
